In January 2001, In-Work NZ (Inwork) was formed by Adrian Roberts, who remains Managing Director today. Inwork is New Zealand’s largest private provider of welfare to work programmes, contracted to the Ministries of Social Development (MSD) and Pacific Island Affairs (MPIA). As at July 2011, Inwork has assisted more than 18,000 disadvantaged people to find and retain employment setting them on the path to economic independence. We deliver a range of services across benefit types. We have targeted interventions to Youth, Maori and Pacific People and targeted groups.
Inwork's USP - Inwork delivers consistently high social outcomes through business innovated solutions.
Inwork’s staff are specialists in their field, understanding the many barriers faced by individuals and families, striving to become self-sufficient. Indeed, many of our staff have at some time been in receipt of benefit themselves. Solutions are aimed at addressing relevant issues facing beneficiary clients in their journey back into employment including: child care, transportation, counselling, liaising with government agencies (IRD, Work and Income, Housing NZ etc), liaison/negotiation with private agencies (financial, credit controllers, private landlords) and access to assistance services.
A genuine commitment to service delivery, key values and professionalism has enabled Inwork to help 95.70% of clients achieve a critical job retention milestone of being employed for six months or longer. This equates to 10,833 individuals, all sustainably employed. This level of performance places Inwork as the leading private delivery model for employment services to this sector and is a key differentiator between Inwork and competitors. Inwork has established a wealth of best practices and programme innovations. The hallmark of all Inwork delivery is quality. Quality mechanisms measure all elements of performance around client participation, placement and retention. Inwork’s high standards for performance are vigorously maintained through careful monitoring, regular feedback and ongoing staff improvement.
Our Inwork brand expresses what we are about. Preparing people for work, placing people into work, supporting people at work and retaining people in work.
